The lid is cut as a lotus, and the gaps between the petals are the only way out. Light a cone inside and the smoke finds them one by one.
Unlit, it is just a celadon flower on a desk. That is the point.
Details
Hand-thrown celadon, reduction-fired in Yixing
Petal-cut lid, removable
For cone or loose incense
Glazed inside and out
Care
Burn cone or loose incense on the plate, never inside the body. Empty the ash once it cools, and wipe the interior with a dry cloth. Do not wash with soap - celadon holds scent the way it holds tea.
