The Rebirth Set

Fired twice. The second firing is where it becomes itself.

The first firing makes the body. The second one decides the color, and it will not be hurried or repeated.

Whatever the kiln did that night is in the piece permanently - which is why two sets from the same batch never match.

Details

• Hand-thrown celadon, double reduction-fired in Yixing
• Glazed inside and out
• Each piece has its own crackle pattern

Care

Hand wash with warm water and a soft cloth. Let it come to room temperature before pouring anything hot, and never move it straight from the fridge to boiling water. The crackle will slowly take on the color of the tea you drink; that is the glaze settling, not wear.
